SUNY Youth Sports Coaches Clinic -
LaFayette Community Council Coaches! We would like our youth coaches to take this training. It is not fully mandatory, but preference for coaching positions may be given to those that have completed this and CPR. This is for all sports! Class is in LaFayette, April 10th, 9am-12pm, Grimshaw cafeteria

Red Cross Certified Lifeguards and Swim Instructors needed for summer program -
We will be hiring staff for the LaFayette Beach 8 week summer program of open swim and lessons. Candidates need to submit a letter of interest by May 1st to: LCC, PO Box 98, LaFayette, NY 13084. Returning guards must also notify us by that date to be considered. Qualifications needed are current Red Cross Lifesaving and CPR training, WSI preferred. Must also be friendly, have good people skills, like kids, be motivated and self-directed.

We are offering Wednesday night aerobics. You may join at any time, call 677-7272 for pro-rated price. Wednesday (6:30-7:45pm) sessions are from Sept-Jan and Feb-June, each $40. Classes are at Grimshaw cafeteria and are open to anyone highschool age and older. Try us out- Tina makes exercise fun! A great mix of step, kick, toning, zumba type movement, stregthening, etc.
Saturday aerobics has been cancelled due to lack of participation.

Registration for the summer lacrosse league will be on Thursday, March 4th, 6:30-8pm, at Grimshaw for boys and girls, grades 3-8. Please register and pay by check that night. Payment includes $60 registration fee and uniforms as needed ($15 jerseys/$11 shorts). You also need to bring your health insurance cards/information and physician's name and phone number.
**If you can not make sign-ups, you must call Matt, 750-6372 by that date and make other arrangements.**

Sundays at the LaFayette Highschool, 1-3pm! The Town of LaFayette and the LaFayette School District have teamed up to open the high school gyms for adult and family use for 7 Sundays this winter. January 24th through March 14th (no class on Feb 14th) we will offer adult basketball, adult volleyball and a family activity like kickball, dodgeball, etc. Adult programs for post HS; family programs for parents AND kids (2nd grade and older). We hope to have the wellness center open too for use of fitness machines. If you are CPR certified and can help oversee a program, call us now 677-7272. Participants need to sign in please.

Baseball and softball sign-ups will be held on Thursday, March 4th, 6:30-8pm at Grimshaw.
Eligible ages are as follows:
T-ball -- must be 6 by April 1st or in Kindergarten now
Rookies -- not 9 before 4/1
T-shirts and Bantams -- not 11 before 4/1
Minors and Intermediates -- not 13 before 4/1
Majors baseball -- not 16 before 4/1 (played in summer, $15 fee)
New players must have proof of age along at registration for us to verify. (ie. birth certificate)
Forms can be printed out from this website (as of 2/7) for you to complete and return.
If you can not attend registration, the form must be mailed in by that date.
**New deadline** Any form received after March 15th may be subject to a waiting list. You must register through LCC, not through a coach.

We are offering Heartsaver 2-year certification for CPR to our volunteer coaches on Thursday, March 18th, from 6-9 pm at Grimshaw cafe.
This is free of charge for LCC coaches. Donations are always welcome. Any other community member is invited to participate for a small donation of your discretion.
You must register for this class by sending your name, address and check if applicable by March 15th to: LCC, PO Box 98, LaFayette, NY 13084. Or you may leave your name and phone number at 677-7272. Baseball/softball and lacrosse coaches may register at baseball signups on the 4th.

The new yoga session will begin Jan 5th. This is a long session extending until June 22nd. Tuesday nights at Grimshaw, location varies. We will be in the cafeteria until late Feb/early March, then the upstairs hallway or possibly the community center until the gym opens up in late April. Please call 677-7272 if you would like information. $55 to LCC, Box 98, LaFayette, 13084. Instructor: Kate Farrar

Try it out, have fun being fit. $20 for 6 week sessions--ongoing. First one starts Jan 4th and ends Feb 11th. 2nd session begins 2/22. Classes are Mondays and Thursdays, 9-10am at the LaFayette Community Center. Instructor: Kathy Greeley Call 677-7272 for details. We won't turn you away due to financial hardship, call us.
